Which banks are supported?
Any bank whose statement is a digital PDF (you can select the text) with a transactions table: a date column plus money in/out or amount, and ideally a balance column. CSV and Excel exports from online banking work with most banks.
Why is a row marked ⚠?
For each row, LedgerLift checks that the amount explains the change in the running balance. ✓ 99% means it matches exactly. ⚠ means it couldn’t be confirmed (for example there is no balance column, or the row has no date), so compare that row with your statement.
It says my PDF has no selectable text
The PDF is a scanned image, so there is no text to read. Download the statement again from your bank’s website or app, where it’s usually a digital PDF, or choose CSV/Excel.
My PDF asks for a password
Many banks protect statements with a password, often built from your date of birth, customer ID or part of your account number. Your bank’s statement email usually explains the format. Enter it when prompted.
How do I send this to my accountant?
Click Draft email. Add their address, edit the message, then click Download CSV and Open in email app. Attach the CSV before sending, because email links can’t attach files automatically.
Can I change categories?
Yes. Click a row’s category and choose another. Exports and email drafts use your changes.
Is my data kept anywhere?
No. See Security. Nothing is uploaded, and refreshing the page clears everything.
